Emily Nelson is a native of Portland, OR. After spending two years at Pacific Lutheran University, she transferred to Hofstra University, where she completed her B.A. in anthropology in a year and a half, with a minor in English. She graduated Summa cum Laude, but she’s not supposed to say that, since she only spent 55, rather than 60, hours in residence. Jerks.
She is a City of Portland employee for one of the urban community centers, where she teaches preschool. Her big ambition is to become a playwright/musical lyricist and librettist. Her small ambition? Figure out what on earth she’s doing with her life while she’s back home with her parents.
Emily lives with her folks, a dog, a cat, and a host of insane anecdotes that are too crazy to be true – but nevertheless, are.
